Made this little riff with mda piano at 10bpm, sped it up to 100 and layered a few synths over, oh yeah and slayer (the guitar synth) is the guitar parts. 3:02 minutes (5.55 MB)

Another Peril.vs.Feral musickill improvisation/exploration, made on New Years Day/Peril's b'day 2009 in the Hills of Gold.
It should've also been recorded by mic' as a field recording, to include nature's ambience, but, well... things never go as planned> we got the first 8 seconds, then the battery packed in. Fortunately we also recorded the music from the mixer.
The wildlife loved it, and when we turned the sound off, all the cockatoos gathered around us and kept making a full-blown racket where our noise had been. Quite lovely!

Sorry for the track whoring but for the past week there has been a studio in every room basically, been a full of house of guests so has been a mad soup of ideas, hence the assault.
I was trying to get a hip hop/dub feel. bass and the starting "down sound" was made with this cool little synth called basic 64, it emulates commodore midi sounds pretty well.
Hope you enjoy. 2:20 minutes (5.34 MB)
I made this one with my Supernova on Bass, Korg ER 1 on beats and blips and my Yamaha RX11 rolling out beats also (with the Kick and the Snare sent through an Electrix Mo-Fx).
Midi was recorded and painted in in Cubase with a Mark McMurtrie sample on top.
The internet, they wanna shut it down! 4:42 minutes (6.39 MB)

howdy, mr. bill sent me a wobbley bassline to chuck some beats to.
This is the result. hope you like it, bill writes some of the meanest bass. 4:32 minutes (5.19 MB)
A quick little throw together experiment using a bass stab and a series of drumloops, with a beat repeater on each sound source and the send effects in record. This includes no micro programming and was thrown together in 15 minutes. I am really starting to get excited about record :) 1:57 minutes (2.67 MB)
This is a work in progress. Currently getting my head around record and learning a completely new way of developing tracks. This stem is an alternative breaks mix that has not yet been eq/ed nor any post effects added. One really powerful editing feature of record is the ablility to take multiple takes of a bar or loop and easily cut this up to use elements from different takes. hendrix used to do this with his solo's. record makes it a breeze..... watch this space. i might add a little bit of a speculator. the only significant limitation i consistently find with reason is the limited sample manipulation capabilities. all indications are suggesting that the ppheads are developing/extending the sampler capabilities within reason. it appears they put an ad in a newspaper in sweden looking for samplers. this was posted as a comment on one of the developers blogs....bring it! -> http://www.propellerheads.se/company/crew/index.cfm?fuseaction=dsp_plan_... 12:05 minutes (16.61 MB)
