great

thanks man.

i have had a bit of a midi breakthrough....

figured how to duplicate cc messages onto other midi ports and channels. means i dont have to try to squeeze everything into 1 combinator

means i can focus in on individual sounds being contained in their own combi and potentially be mixed and matched between tracks. still means a fuck load of effort to break down already completed tracks

midi ox!

still some limitations but pretty stoked

involves duplicating the cc's in midi ox and they are then available in reason via the midi bus.theoretically have access to 4 x 16 dupklicated channels. so could control 64 devices simultaneously...

no limitations

the solution without limitations was right before me, but i couldn't see the wood for the trees......

anyway, sorted now and i have been decombinatorstructing some tracks and will post some combinators in the near future....

modular fun!

midi ox?

Is it a plugin?

How complicated is it?

If I can use it with Live, it sounds like the precise solution to most of my problems, too!

Will look it up now, but am interested in your experience with it, too...

MIDI-OX

http://www.midiox.com/

Welcome to MIDI-OX, the world's greatest all-purpose MIDI Utility!  For those with time on their hands, you can read a brief history of MIDI-OX and how it came by its name. We have also included a general description of the utility and change history. The rest of you will want to grab the latest version and get right to work.   MIDI-OX was created by Jamie O'Connell and Jerry Jorgenrud.

It operates outside of live. Works well with maple virtual midi ports. Will start a new thread and explain more later...

i wont be going to beyond

elody called & asked if I would play but as it will take me 2-3 hrs each way, fuel $$ & not getting any reimbursement apart from good company with you Ill happily stay in newey & see the sights of the tina festival , it will be the first year that I dont play music at it so should be nice & mellow.

nothing better happens in newcastle during  the year so i'll stick with the local attractions this time.
