An easy but effective trick is to put a 3-band eq on the master bus and map the high/mid/low toggles to 3 keys on the keyboard. That makes it easy to do quick cuts and the like live.

Bassline tip. Add Saturation, select hard curve, turn down output, turn drive to about 60% or so, add vinyl distortion, move bottom freq dot to top middle slightly to the right. Gets a nice dirty bass sound.
